The first national blitz event to be run aimed at older children!

A 9 round tournament of fun very fast chess games using clocks.  Typically games last a maximum of 10 minutes.

If you are new to blitz chess the arbiters will be on hand for a short period prior to the commencement of the tournament for children and parents to come and chat to. You can ask questions about how the competition works, the rules of chess and you can see how a digital clock works with increments etc. 

There will other events during the day for which adults/parents/siblings and those children wishing to play even more chess can participate. Please visit our website for more information.

Vending machines are available on site and there are eating establishments and supermarkets near by. You may bring your own refreshments if you wish. The college building offers a spacious environment and the recently built Atrium has been designated a parent and supporters area.
